This is a HARD lesson, but an important one for anyone who wants a career in comics. Sadly, it's WAY less risky and time-consuming for an editor/reviewer to be silent than give a rejection, because it only takes one crazy person to respond badly. Too many letterers these days ignore the Line of Sight rule, whereby balloons should not block the line of sight between two speaking characters. In this example, I show how a little bit of thought on my part keeps the eye contact open between the two characters who have dialogue. #comics #lettering
