TLDR: Female faculty report devaluation—defined as feeling excluded, disrespected, mistreated, or held to different standards— at higher rates than men. And among female faculty, WOC were much more likely to report devaluation than White women, holding all else equal. This is #TheDoubleTax.

I saw the hype over the goals, and watched the second half later. I'm not saying the last 30 minutes are perfect, goodness knows there were some mistakes, but I was just mesmerized by the hustle, stepping into passing lanes, one touch passing, and the flow of the game. It's why I love this team.

I saw about the two goals and decided to watch the second half of the USWNT, but it is still frustrating. Ashley Sanchez seems to be playing more defensive MF in the first four minutes than Heaps has all game, and can still get out and score.

It's just anecdotal, confirmation bias, and in my head after the tragedy of RJ Mitte, but layoffs and downsizing because of greed/bad business decisions/paying off shareholders, cause real impact on people. No clue the reasons for RJ, but many "middle-class" actors/workers are struggling. CEOs kill.

Damn. At first I was like, "Why both?" Then realized those two with Rose is more defense-minded. One of those two on, with Yohannes and Rose is more offense-minded. With Espresso up top and no Girma, more defense is needed now, and Hutton can press up if needed. Put some offense in the wing backs.

I saw the field for a moment as four Spanish players in a box around Heaps. I thought they were going to 'school bully" her and just play keep away as she ploddingly scrambled back and forth. It's the only second of empathy I've had for Heaps on the field in a long time.

The memories of that great 2019 team got Ertz onto the 2023 team, and she wasn't ready for national team playing. It's why she had to play center back like in 2015. The USWNT seems to stick too long with memories rather than current play. Sigh.
