Typical and infuriating. We students were saying the same thing when Kerry decided to tear down the 5th Av. building to build his gilded tower. Not only did that send the NS down the NYU we want to be a real estate firm not a U. path, but also I really dug the escalators in the old building.

Why care about a little school of malcontents (as an alum I'm in that category)? Because the "lets kill stuff that doesn't make us rich (anthro, etc.) so we can buy stuff that makes us and our friends rich (more buildings, high admin salary) attitude is a virus that spreads to everything.
