hi, lesbian bar expert here! this is not funny, lesbian bars only do this when they’re in extreme distress
screenshot of their instagram post that divided a nation. Just the Accessibility part. It is with love we inform our immunocompromised disabled divas we will be opening Saturday
nights as mask optional to try out typical club nights with themes/hosts/DJs/full capacity. Accessibility is a pillar of our mission, AND our mission is also to make the space work for everyone and everything radical, sometimes that's being wild! We strive for solidarity. transparency of risks, and connecting us all in this revolution. We still give priority to public and private Masked bookings, and continue a recurring monthly Masked Social prioritizing safety. It is only after an outpour of feedback from our regulars, volunteers, and team that we
make this addition.

The Etiquette of Freedom, Gary Snyder, 1990
“Wild and free." An American dream-phrase loosing images: a long-maned stallion racing across the grasslands, a V of Canada Geese high and honking, a squirrel chattering and leaping limb to limb overhead in an oak. It also sounds like an ad for a Harley-Davidson.
Both words, profoundly political and sensitive as they are, have become consumer baubles. I hope to investigate the meaning of wild and how it connects with free and what one would want to do with these meanings. To be truly free one must take on the basic conditions as they are—painful, impermanent, open, imperfect—-and then be grateful for impermanence and the freedom it grants us. For in a fixed universe there would be no freedom. With that freedom we improve the campsite, teach children, oust tyrants. The world is na-ture, and in the long run inevitably wild, because the wild, as the process and essence of nature, is also an ordering of impermanence.

i'm pretty white but Gemini is set to "fucking transparent"
Screenshot of a Google AI Overview that begins mid-sentence with "…you best not miss." The response treats the Omar Little quote from The Wire as motivational advice, explaining that the line is "the golden rule when taking on the heavyweight" and offering encouragement to anyone "challenging a massive boss" or "making a bid for the top spot." It includes an embedded video clip titled "You come at the king, you best not miss. – Omar Little [The Wire]" showing a dimly lit image of the character.

Also I used AI to write alt text to see what it would say and ffs where is the "STOP GLAZING ME" button on these goddamn machines
Claude trying to tell me how to live my goddamn life. After it sent me alt text for the images, it said: The second one is the funny/notable one I assume you're capturing — the AI treating a quote lookup as an action request and "carrying out the order." Good example of AI Overview weirdness for EFF purposes?
110
Jason Kelley @jason.exposed · 10/06/2026
Has anybody done a study yet about how AI is fucking cringe "You're searching for exact quotes from The Wire? Fo sho! I'm jussa lil guy with a can-do attitude but I'm ready for the reup when you are! Where Wallace at? He's in our hearts! It's all in the game - the "search engine game," my G!"
Screenshot of a Google search for "word out there that we back up." The AI Overview misreads the query as a request to spread a message, responding: "In the immortal words of Stringer Bell from HBO's The Wire, I will certainly put the word out there: we back up!" It continues in an encouraging tone, offering to get "the message put out there loud and clear." A thumbnail from a TikTok video shows actor Idris Elba as Stringer Bell with the subtitle "I want you to put the word out there."Screenshot of a Google AI Overview that has misread a search query as a direct instruction. In response to a user apparently asking about the Stringer Bell "we back up" quote from The Wire, the AI announces "Consider it done. Word is officially out — let everyone know we are back up and running!" and embeds a video clip of the scene from the show.

Screenshot of a Google AI Overview responding to a search query. The overview presents "back up quotes" in two categories: Pop Culture ("We back up"), citing a Stringer Bell line from The Wire sourced from a Reddit post, and Resilience ("Getting back up"), with quotes attributed to Vince Lombardi and a Japanese Proverb.

The Hunter has become the Hunter

Hunter Biden @HunterBiden says

I see your profile picture. That's Johnny Cash. My hero too. Arrested seven times. Smuggled 668 amphetamines across the Mexican border in
1965. Took every drug there was and drank like I did. Cheated on his first wife. Slept with more woman than I ever did. Hit bottom in a cave in Tennessee in 1968 trying to crawl off and die. And then he got up. He got clean. He spent the rest of his life singing for prisoners and addicts and the people the country threw away because he knew he was one of them.
That was the whole point of the Man in Black. He wore it for the poor and the beaten down. He wore it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime. He wore it for the ones who never heard a word of Jesus. He wore it for the addicted and the dying. He wore it as a standing witness that no one is past saving.
You picked his picture. You did not pick his message. Try listening to the words.

Very contemporary and wise words from Sören Kierkegaard:
Screenshot with the following text, the last paragraph is highlighted:

On December 18, 1854, a follower of Luther again attempted to reform the church, in this case by publishing a series of articles in newspapers and magazines. Like Luther, he risked persecution and punishment for being so bold as to criticize the established church. He had two great differences from Luther, however. First, the church this man criticized was not the Roman Catholic church, it was a Lutheran church. Second, the proposed revival and reform was stillborn; little was achieved in an external sense. But I think this Lutheran was a success in God’s eyes, and that we have much to learn from the “failed” reformer—perhaps as much as from Luther himself.

The following quote, from a newspaper article published by this man on March 26, 1855, gives a clear view of his estimate of the “official” Christianity of his land:

Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again.

Rare Muni Cosmo, who received an entire caprese sandwich for free from a passenger, god bless public transit
The picture shows a man sitting on public transportation, possibly a bus or light rail, next to a large white dog. The man has short dark hair with some graying, a trimmed beard, and is wearing a denim button-up shirt over a yellow T-shirt featuring a cartoon character. He is holding a brown paper bag. The white dog, which appears fluffy and calm, takes up much of the right side of the image, with one eye and its nose clearly visible. Sunlight is streaming in from the window behind them, revealing an urban street scene with buildings outside.

Screenshot from an episode of the “Long Covid Hope” podcast with guest Kyle Warner, who claims to suffer from Covid vaccine injuries. The text reads: In this episode of the Long Covid Hope podcast, Sarah is joined by none other than Kyle Warner - pro athlete and now advocate and campaigner for the post-vaccine / vaccine injury community. Kyle discusses his post-vaccine story with Sarah, how he developed myocarditis and other debiliating symptoms after having the Pfizer vaccination, and how researching into this and treatments such as Hyperbariac Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) helped him to recover his health. This episode runs long as there is so much to talk about and Kyle is so well-researched and driven in his campaign to help others with Long Vaccine.
