Our children will have to live with a changing climate, so need to be equipped to understand the challenges they will face. Attached is an article & linked letter (still open for signatures) to the Education Minister urging her to embed climate change in the curriculum. www.tes.com/magazine/new...

I’m a huge fan of @barringtonstoke.bsky.social's titles and cannot wait to read Puloma and the Bear by @jasbinderbilan.bsky.social & Skylar White and What it was like to be an Ancient Egyptian by @writerdavidlong.bsky.social & Stefano Tambellini. Both out 13/03 for 9+ readers. 🥰

The two books. Puloma and the Bear’s cover shows a girl with brown skin wearing jeans, a long-sleeved red top and a yellow cap and with a sky blue backpack being followed along a path in a wooded area by a large black bear on all fours.

What it was like to be an Ancient Egyptian shows two adults and a child. The man wears what looks like a white skirt and is holding a sheaf of a cereal crop over his left shoulder and a sickle in his right hand. The woman is wearing a long, blue, sleeveless dress and wears gold jewellery. The child has long black hair in bunches, is wearing a long, white, sleeveless dress and is holding a wheeled toy animal.

Hello everyone - I am on a the best sort of research trip today. I went to the Bodleian Library in Oxford and got to look at the ACTUAL letters that were the inspiration for NAELI AND THE SECRET SONG. There’s something magical about touching something which has found it’s way into my next book!
