you can see this in how people talk about art online too. anything that confuses them, they dont like, or they think is bad, they dont even attempt to understand why its there or what purpose it might serve, they just go straight to how theyd 'fix' it.

Or to put it more briskly: This is the natural end result of applying 'the customer is always right' to art.

What did we call these? Cuddle puddles? Is it still cuddling if you've got rocks digging into your back??

A group picture of uhhhhh 7 humans, a lil robot that can read, a big robot that can't, a dog and a sentient fire hydrant named Phil. Super maximalist, paint everywhere type image. It would take as much time to describe the image as it would to draw it. Everyone looks happy to be with each other in the way one feels a few months into moving back home after college and you've reconnected with old high school friends and their younger siblings are turning out to be cool little adults themselves.

An old friend bought me an old Zelda so I drew an old character for his old money. Fun commission, thank you @hetreasky.bsky.social

A mean lookin lady looks down at the audience with a glint in her revealed eye and a sneer on her lips. There is a light glowing straight up from the audience's point of view and a minor one emitting from the lil' handpuppet guy hovering above her hand. It's like an Arkham Asylum game over screen or something. She'd say "Thanks for the handpuppet, dipshit" or something along those lines.

I am once again posting this. Curious as to what they’re gonna do with Ocarina Of Time and how they’ll bring the modern Zelda formula to a past incarnation. As long as they keep the dungeons and hooks hot do whatever you want lol #zelda #ocarinaoftime

A very wide image depicting the primary characters of Ocarina Of Time and their younger counterparts plus some goddesses. Zelda and Sheik on the left, Ganondorf at the top and Link and Navi bottom right

So excited for the Ocarina Of Time Remake, guys!

A screenshot from what must be the Ocarina Of Time remake, featuring Adult Link fighting Gohma in the Temple Of Time. Definitely has nothing to do with that Wii U Demo from a decade and change back.

Why are there action scenes in movies? They don't move the movie along at all it just makes people uncomfortable. We could just skip to the after and show who's dead and stuff if we have to - get back to plot because exposition is the only thing that matters. Plot is king. Plot is god. Plot is all.

If you want to make an animation or comic, it doesn't need to look like a mega polished professional production. Some of the best shit is sketchy, weird, and messy as hell- early internet toons kinda looked like shit (GOOD!) and we loved that stuff. What matters is if it's evocative or not I think

To make this directly about immigration: Let's suppose the Republican position is that immigrants are criminals and too many people are crossing the border and we need to stop as much of this as we can. The Democratic position is "yes, we must strengthen the border."

Ah, you misunderstand me. When I asked for a "good" anime game, what I really meant was a bizarre, borderline unplayable thing that you need an old GameFaqs forum thread from 2006 to understand. That's what really gets me going.
