The mangaka does self-professedly not like drawing BL or GL and did redraw this scene to be flirtier than it is in the source so like I'm getting why cpk fans were 😒 on the manga lol I read up to ch6 which includes this panel but no further, ig scanlators found her homophobic

generally speaking i really don't like endings where the main characters go their separate ways at the end. i always get mad when precure seasons do it, but at least there it often kind of makes sense. lara and mari separating on the other hand feels to me like it lacks any real narrative purpose
