There was a problem with the fire alarm at school today. It kept on going off while the engineers were fixing it. To counteract the noise, my Year 7 class started clapping a hemiola, and then 2,3 of the next triplet in a beat. Combined it with the Ellie Kildunne cowgirl celebration. UBER JOYFUL 🤩

I’ve just experienced the joy of just doing an hour of gardening in my work dress, knowing that it’s going straight in the wash once I’m out of the shower. Think I’m giving up on gardening clothes in favour of getting normal clothes that are rest for the wash a little bit muddier.

Was reminded of Albert and the Lion on today’s bike ride. My favourite summer café stop (where they talked you through their cake selection) has closed due to fear of litigation. It’s on at a working farm where the animals aren’t always that fond of small children, and the farmyard is uneven.
