One thing I wasn't expecting as a parent since the beginning of the pandemic was how much extra work it would require to re connect young people to the world and to community. They need adults to connect them. Vitally important work, but hard. Time-consuming. Worth it.

Today is National Child Day! Here is a reminder from a violence prevention educator : Comprehensive sex ed is the best tool we have to keep kids safe from sexual abuse. When they know the names for their body parts & that coercion is not consent, they are safer from harm. All kids deserve safety.

If I have counted correctly, today is the 1,000th continuous day I practised yoga since restarting a daily at-home practice. I think my practice is the only reason I have gotten through the last few years. It is essential to my mental health.
