One thing I love to see with Brewers home games is how many in those fabulous seats behind home plate are keeping a scorebook, including Front Row Amy who isn’t the only woman keeping a book. I don’t know if that’s the case at other parks, I’ve never noticed

A film that could easily be streamed but I saw it in a small arthouse. It was so wonderful to be in a room with people laughing loudly and often. Then everyone watched the credits, no one pulled out a phone and then people … clapped. What an absolute joy of a film. See it in a theater if you can.

And now I'm listening to the Godspell soundtrack for the first time since about 1980. We actually sang some of these songs in church. Catholicism in the '70s and maybe into the '80s was kind of funky, depending on your parish. (Around Madison, for sure. But a new bishop came and shut that shit down)

My career has been equally split between the two. I joke that I know why both hate each other and, as I tell reporters, "I know all the tricks." A copy editor caught a math error in a story of mine. We chatted then I said, "I'm going to walk away from you now so my ass can thank you for saving it."

An organization I was in had a logo designed by a high school student. A graphic design teacher had made it a lesson and contest in her class. Several were great artistically but one stood out in how it would work in branding. Eventually we got a contract made and paid the kid.

There is a historic neighborhood (with a performing arts venue) in town called Sherman Hill. As in Hoyt Sherman, Wm. Tecumseh’s brother. We even have the minor league Sherman brother

And the USL2 team has been there for 30 years or more. There are now two dueling stadium/soccer team projects. The other is top USL. Both projects involve building a stadium downtown but the USL proposal has been going on for like 7 years. Guy behind it owns the USL2 team. It’s all kinda crazy
