Bungie shared a behind the scenes look at how they're evolving Marathon for the future. Honestly, I haven't been this excited for the game since pre-launch. Very optimistic for the future - now PlayStation just needs to give them the runway to make some magic happen.

Bethesda shared a memo on Xbox moving Obsidian that actually sounds... good? We won't know fully how these changes affect the games (and teams) for months or years, but so far? This definitely calms some immediate concerns. Actions speak louder than words, though.

Making an extraction shooter and expecting it to reach the mass market was a huge strategic blunder, tbh. This is not a mass market genre, it's one for the true sickos (complimentary). Hopefully they can find that broader audience with these changes. It'll be one hell of a tough road.

I grew up reading EGM, GamePro, and Game Informer. Watching G4, IGN, and Spike TV coverage of big gaming events. Some are still fighting the good fight, like Game Informer, but it's weird seeing the industry that I always dreamed of being a part of start to disappear.

From SGF to BlizzCon, this summer has been absolutely incredible. I've checked some things off of my bucket list that the 10-year-old version of me watching X-Play and Attack of the Show would literally dream about. Grateful doesn't begin to describe it. What a year (so far.)

This GTA 6 Netflix Extended Look was worth the wait. The gameplay is just GTA, but the stories and characters they've got here are just incredible. Leaks can show you how an early build looks, but they can't show you how the whole world comes together. Rockstar's nailing it.

The Steam Personal Calendar is the best change the platform has made in a very long time. Popular upcoming takes so much scrolling past a lot of junk to find games of note, and the personal calendar has none of that in there. Really impressed with it finding games even I haven't dug up yet.

Xbox Backward Compatibility on PC, Xbox's Disc-to-Digital Program, and Project Helix are all parts of what define the future of Xbox... but things can get pretty confusing pretty fast based on early reports. I'm just ready for Xbox to explain how all of the pieces tie together for next-gen.
