Are AI nudes killing naturist authenticity? We’re real people. So why are many clubs and organisations now promoting themselves with fake ones? Take away the logo and could you tell one naturist organisation from another? #AIArt #AIImages #GenerativeAI #AIArtist #AIGenerated

Walking through vast marshland late in the day, beneath a soft cover of cloud. Damp moss and grass gave beneath my feet, while shallow water flowed over my toes with each step. A gentle breeze carried the smell of the sea across the open landscape as I wandered on. #hikingnaturist #naturist

Perhaps one of the quietest joys of naturism is not freedom from clothes, but freedom from performance. The body no longer has to be improved before it can be present. The mirror loses some of its authority. The ordinary self gets to arrive without so much armor.

Saw a new tourist pub that just opened up being promoted by a Dublin focused account on IG and its indoor artwork and even the outside fascia name sign were blatantly AI made and awful looking, but someone looked at that and said "good enough", enshitification of the world is picking up pace.

I can't stress enough my contempt for people like this. Secret places are no longer secret because of them. Don't get me started on how many naturist spots have been ruined because of their selfish need to get a few likes/follows on Instagram. If you find a place, keep it to yourself, ffs.

"Une conséquence imprévue des grands raids transatlantiques," Pierre Lissac, published in La Vie Parisienne during the late 1920s. See the Alt text for more info. Pierre Lissac (1878 - 1955) was a French painter, caricaturist and illustrator. #NudeArt #Naturism #NonSexualNudity

A painted illustration of three women, two of whom are nude, sunbathing on what they believe is a "deserted beach," only to be startled by the massive shadow of an airplane passing overhead.

The "Raids": The title refers to the era's pioneering long-distance flights across the Atlantic (such as Charles Lindbergh’s in 1927).

At the bottom, it reads: "Attention, mesdames!... Il n'y a plus de plages désertes..." ("Watch out, ladies!... There are no more deserted beaches..."), implying that the sky is no longer private.

Japanese Artist Akihiro Higuchi uses beetles as unique canvases for his far east infused artworks.

A vertical studio photograph showcases an extraordinary miniature artwork by contemporary Japanese artist Akihiro Higuchi, who paints directly onto preserved insects. A large stag beetle serves as a literal canvas, adorned with intricate, lacquer-style motifs reminiscent of traditional Japanese textiles and family crests (kamon). The beetle is mounted symmetrically against a completely flat, neutral pale grey background and is oriented vertically with its head facing up, highlighting its prominent, curved black mandibles. The natural black exoskeleton of the insect forms the base color for the painting, which Higuchi meticulously applies across different anatomical segments.

The head of the beetle is painted with delicate, symmetrical sprigs of white foliage flanking a central, gilded circular crest that contains a precise five-pointed star or flower emblem rendered in gold lacquer. Below this, the thorax is covered in a dense, overlapping cluster of golden-yellow chrysanthemums and slender leaves, creating a rich floral band across the beetle's midsection. The elytra, or wing cases, feature a complex background pattern of a green-and-gold basketweave or checkered textile design, over which a cascading branch of gold chrysanthemums runs vertically down the center line where the wing cases meet. The entire artwork exhibits remarkable precision, blending the natural organic textures of the insect—such as its jointed legs and spines—with the highly stylized, decorative aesthetics of historic Japanese material culture under crisp, even lighting that casts a faint shadow for dimensional depth.

“Pastoral Nudes,” Pinchas Litvinovsky, 2022, oil on canvas, 17.7 x 19.7", Kings Gallery. Pinchas Litvinovsky (1894 - 1985) was an Israeli painter. #NudeArt #Naturism #NonSexualNudity

A painting of four nude female figures in an impressionistic landscape of foliage and grass. One woman is sitting on the grass, two are bending over, and the fourth is standing and holding what may be a plate of fruit. She has a red ribbon in her hair and is wearing red shoes. A dog is sitting on the grass at the left side of the painting.
