Even though I'm a Reader Response theorist I can't totally dismiss an author's intent. Reader and author are in a dialog each bringing their experience to the text. I dunno, its been 40+ years since Grad School when Derrida and Deconstructionism was the Hot New Thing.

Reading a 19th century Russian historian on the 1813 campaign. I note that Russian Grenadier and Guard formations were used quite extensively. Even in things like rear guard actions. A list min-maxxers wet dream.

I've gotten pretty good about that tbh. I mean, the shakos ARE correct for 1812. Troops marching and fighting in formation would have been nice though

If someone does this it does need to be financially viable, not a charity. Many miniatures manufacturers are already not exactly getting rich
