Played out last turn of #Midgard #Oldhammer. Empire got their act together and put in a bunch of charges. Hildegaard cast "weakness" on the Rat Ogre then it got hacked to bits by halberdiers. Pikes charged Darktan and his Warp Glaive cut the Man-things down, but pierced by several piles he died.

Empire charges all across the battlefield

Darktan kills many Man-things but dies a Legendary death. Men, rats, him, everyone dies

Halberds going after Eat Ogre. Even with being Brutal and having magical help, the beast was tough to kill

I think want to be the retired guy who goes downtown for minor errands. 15 minutes left on my meter this morning after getting my errands done resulted in a pleasant side quest: helped tourists find the diner, talked to lots of lovely people, got free tea, and bought some books.

Just finished this. Rather timely considering. Gives the German perspective which is rather confused. But it shows that the Germans around Osterbeek were almost as fought out as 1st Airborne and the operation failed only by hours. Hours lost in the fighting around Nijmegen.
