I was almost hit by one when getting into my work vehicle one night, and it made no attempt to slow down or reevaluate the massive error it made. "Safe". Yeah, until one of the lithium batteries goes into thermal runaway with your kid inside, and the doors can't be opened.

These AVs are literally stupid. You can't write code for intuition. I've seen a Waymo illegally battle a human-driven car for a parking spot, then drive away when the human gave up. I've seen one stay dead-stopped when the light turns green, forcing everyone in its lane to go around it.

For a company that's been taking my money for 14 years for nothing (no claims besides a couple windshields), StateFarm really does hate taking it lately. Over the last year, I've had to ARGUE with their IT Dept to get them to take my money. Right now, I'm getting a "protocol error". WTF?

inb4 'just use linux n00b' That's an OS that commits sepuku if you press the fuckin' POWER BUTTON wrong. I've seen it happen. I don't know how it happened, and it shouldn't be possible, but just BOOTING the OS kills it. MS/Windows sucks, but at least I don't have to cross my fingers to boot it.

I figure that means it found something and is repairing it. The DISM part got stuck at 62% for a long time and I almost closed it, but it's moving again. Wish Windows didn't become corrupted so easily these days. I miss Windows 7.

CTT Util (Chris Titus Tech WinUtil) is amazing for de-Microsofting your Windows 10 and 11. I won't use Windows without it anymore. The 'System Corruption Scan' is great, as it's a one-stop shop for a chkdsk, sfc, and dism scan. On my 2017 Surface Book 2 (i5 + 8GB), it's taking forever...

I've had Darktable installed for ages but never really used it. Playing with it for the first time and discovering it can read parameters I didn't even know my camera was storing. For instance... focus distance. I thought it was just using contrast to determine focus.
