Ever wonder what snow in the swamp would look like? This is 5 miles into the Louisiana swamps in the Atchafalaya basin... it's unreal... having lived down there for the first 28 years of my life, we never saw anything like this. Smashed records. Curtesy of Garrett Roberts.

As a kid, I always wondered why I was so obsessed Star Wars. I always wondered why it was so important. As an adult, I get it now. Star Wars at its core is a story about fighting authoritarianism.

I really cannot stress enough that there is zero creative process involved with typing a prompt into a machine and having it spit out an amalgamation of images stolen from artists that are currently losing their jobs because of said process.

What it feels like to have any kind of current events story break through the mute word shields rn

Captain Kirk, from the Star Trek TOS Original Series episode "The Man Trap," is screaming in agony as the salt vampire clamps the suckers on her hands around his face and begins to drain him of salt... to death! Kirk is labeled "me" and the Salt Vampire is labeled "The News"

i struggle with a brain that wants to stiffly copy whatever reference i'm using and one thing i've found helpful:
1. draw big blocky shapes over the reference
2. turn off ref and redraw big blocky shapes
3. draw in figure with big blocky shapes overlaid
Traducir post

photo of model posing as an elegant elf woman that ive blocked out with a chunky red brush

in a separate window ive redrawn the red blocks, then have drawn details over the red blocks, using the photo+red transparency as reference

final doodle of the figure drawing without the red blocking

✨The Bright Queen✨ This Critical Role fanart is both my favorite and was my most popular on Twitter (bye twitter!). Crit Role dragged me through the worst depression of 2016 through being an "essential worker" in 2020 and this drawing will always remind me of that blend of hope and fear.

A regal drow queen bathed in cold blue light stands in front of a massive crystal throne, looking down at a humble hobo wizard. Illustration of the Bright Queen from Critical Role.

I’ve seen an artist do “sponsor a personal artwork”. It was 1/4 of the price of a commission and if you pay it they work on a personal project. I actually love this and wish more artists did it.

Dark elf ladies but with snakes 👌 #art #elfenjoyers (part 1, '22 character design #commission for AstarothArcaine)

artwork of dark elf lady dressed in green and blue silk noble clothes. Her jewellery are snake themed, she has green serpent eyes and strange scars on the cheeks which may probably allow her to open mouth like snakes do. she holds a green snake which is wrapped around her left leg and hand.

I turn 28 today 👁️🖤 and that means I will gently yet shamelessly ask y'all to share my art as a little birthday wish

A tiefling whose face is wrapped in a veil with many eyes cut out of it stands tall, one hand is raised while black and sickly green spores and a syrup-y substance spill from it. They carry a staff made out of dead wood and mushrooms.

An illustration of my OC Briar standing in a dead field of sunflowers, staring off to The Tower in the distance. His partymates ( past & present ) are lined up on the border, framed in rat tails that eventually turn into worms. At the top are rat kings that stretch themselves outwards towards a draconic eye...

An illustration of a naked elven figure with four arms. He is surrounded by different phases of the moon, the darkness below siphoning the light away. On the border are cherubs whose faces are obscure by shadows with bright, piercing eyes; they reach up and cradle stars...

A b&w sketch of Béatrice, standing in a slack manner. Fists curl around bloodied weapons and she glares up at the audience. In the background the text "TAKE CARE OF IT" & "TAKE RESPONSBILITY" repeat over and over again.

Creatives, listen up. I know it sucks. I know it's hard. But art isn't about making things when it's easy and good and comfy. Art is rebellion. Art is rage. Art is protest. Art is political fire. Write it. Draw it. Sculpt it. Build it. If you cannot find the joy, do it out of spite and fury.
