À propos of nothing, here’s what was in my lunch at home today: thinly sliced courgette microwaved 1 minute then marinaded with sliced shallot in teriyaki sauce, soy sauce and honey. Served with rocket and creamy cottage cheese. Lush, a keeper.

These gifts that I just bought for the #bees - scabious, sedum, campanula, oregano and marigolds, are all either repotted or planted out. Most popular by far with honey bees & bumblebees is the oregano, with sedum a distant second. Just saying. 🐝

In my newspaper, useful advice from a nutritionist for England fans staying up for the overnight match with Mexico: for dinner on Sunday night, quinoa salad with roasted vegetables and tofu, and then breakfast: scrambled eggs on toast or granola with Greek yogurt. Stock up, everyone.

So moved by the loss of Dennis Locorriere. We were lucky to be at a live Dr Hook concert, and later to see Dennis locally during his solo tour. His voice could snap our heartstrings - Sylvia’s Mother related a true story in the songwriter’s life.

@medmilmedicine.bsky.social Guess what I’m currently reading. Taking my time, and will eventually review - but that may take a while. I recall working through an online course on life in the ancient classical world; it included removal of cataracts and of arrows in legs. Fascinating stuff.
