Playing through Final Fantasy III, part of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster collection, got me thinking about the music arrangement selection, so I wrote about it here. www.stageselectstart.com/2026/10/thou... #FinalFantasyIII #FinalFantasyPixelRemaster #VideoGameMusic #Rambling #StageSelectStart

It's spooky season, so it's only appropriate that we pull music from the entire Resident Evil catalogue this month, starting w/ the quintessential "Peace of Mind" from the original. www.stageselectstart.com/2026/10/midi... #MIDIWeekSingles #ResidentEvil #SurvivalHorror #Capcom #StageSelectStart

Only 10% of the way through the campaign, and really hoping for a great soundtrack after the amazing score that Keiki Kobayashi (and a handful of others) pulled in AC7.

I've been playing a bit of ACE COMBAT 8: Wings of Theve and I've come up with a hot take: the game is playable and enjoyable even below the minimum recommended specs. @ Me in the comments. www.stageselectstart.com/2026/10/hot-... #AceCombat8 #HotTake #MinimumSpecs #Rambling #StageSelectStart

ICE arrested the mom of a 9-year-old at a school bus stop in Austin, leaving him alone and crying. The video has profanity and is heartbreaking to watch, but it shows the fear/pain of what happened. This is evil. This is wrong. And it has to stop.

Update: Graphic Settings were all set to Low (expected). I played with max FPS settings at 60. In-flight sequences ran at around 15-20 FPS (expected). Cinematics ran at 25-45. Made one change after the Prologue and Mission 01 (lowered the FPS max to 30). Will try Mission 02 later today/tonight.

Morbidly curious to see how well Ace Combat 8 plays on my laptop now that it's 24+ hours to pre-download, pre-install, actually install, and downloaded all the extra downloadables is done. Oddly wasn't able to get AC0 to start past the set up screen. 🤷 #AceCombat8 #WingsOfTheve #ShadersCompiling

A literal picture of a screen showing the loading screen for Ace Combat 8: Wings of These with the following text onscreen:
"Preparing setup for a smooth experience. Shaders are being compiled to match your environment. This may take a few minutes to complete. Please do not turn off the power."

In the background image is, I think, an F-18 on the deck of an aircraft carrier with a pilot in the foreground holding a pair of dog tags like they're a set of keys they're about to use to start the plane.

Decades ago (🧓🤦), there was a teriyaki place I went to often enough that I could just walk in and the woman at the register would call out "Large chicken plate to go!" That felt nice. Around the same time, the person at Jack in the Box said, "We haven't seen you in a while," & I never went back.

Video Games are for everyone. PERIOD. No matter what the color of your skin, gender, etc. Don't give any attention to the nobodys & grifters that say otherwise. They're not worth the time of day & just ignore their toxicity and bullshit. As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters. 😎🎮👍🏾
