Cofnas is the actual bogus academic. Cofnas is the actual one hired without merit. Ghent is the actual one who lowered academic standards and put the university into disrepute. Cofnas and Ghent were the actual story all along. RIP Jason Arday.

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that some random retired professor, who was charged with misconduct in 1998 in a bullying related affair & now runs a personal blog and autopublished a book, decides to go on a full campaign and nobody is asking WHY he did it this.. ?
David Harris, a British academic who published a 2024 critique of critical race theory, is said to have contacted Arday and Cambridge with claims.

The Association for Psychosocial Studies is extending the submission deadline for the 2026 Annual Conference, titled "Trust, Mistrust and Community." The new deadline for all abstracts is now 8th March 2026.
Event information for the Association for Psychosocial Studies 2026 Annual Conference. The top features a blue and red abstract ink-style banner and an infinity symbol logo. The title is "Trust, Mistrust and Community: Call for Papers," taking place 12-13th June 2026 at St Mary’s University, London. The text describes the psychosocial dynamics of trust, digital infrastructures, and "dystopian imaginaries." It invites submissions from clinicians and academics for papers and creative productions. A QR code is in the bottom right, and a dark blue banner at the bottom highlights the submission deadline: 8th March 2026.

Academics are under unrelenting pressure to accept the narrative of the inevitability of #generativeAI & to embrace it in teaching & learning. We resist - because it is ecologically destructive, ethically corrupt, & because it undermines the thinking abilities that make us both human & intelligent.

Radicalised Adolescence? Hit series sparks calls to counter toxic masculinity
The Netherlands now following the UK in launching initiatives to show Netflix's four-part series Adolescence in middle schools while France's education ministry ponders tighter controls on teens exposed to hate speech and porn. We’ll ask about a fiction inspired by real life cases of boys who went so far as to murder girls.

NEW: The Equality and Human Right Commission is investigating Labour’s benefits cuts for potentially breaching the Equality Act. Spoiler alert: it is. I’m half way through all these PIP scoring forms and changing to needing 4 in one item is clearly discriminatory.
Alt text:

A screenshot from The Telegraph’s website features a headline reading: “Labour benefit cuts may breach equality law, says human rights watchdog.” The subheading states: “Equality commission to consider how Liz Kendall’s £5b welfare reforms will impact disabled people.” Below the headline is a photo of Liz Kendall speaking at the dispatch box in the House of Commons. She is wearing large glasses and a dark blue suit, with a serious expression as MPs look on in the background.
