I think the tragically ironic part is that I feel like there's common ground. A lot issues stem from America having bad laws + unequal application justice + genAI exaggerating existing societal issues. The data centers debate wouldn't be as extreme if the US actually regulated and taxed them.

hot take: I think the industry has always been nerd sniped by “meme projects”, as in projects that are fun to talk about on social media but aren’t as deep as say someone writing an OS from scratch. “not a hot dog“ 😞 ✌️ 🌭 LLMs accelerate that by allowing devs to be even more willfully ignorant

Pi is designed to be very simple out of box with the idea that you craft your own bespoke harness as you use it. It doesn’t even have subagents or mcp or guardrails (probably should run in docker). It is well documented so you can just ask an agent to build some feature if you need it.
