While I (broadly) enjoyed this, I think the Jason character really brings it down as the POV, he's not QUITE interesting enough to carry the thing like he's supposed to, and it takes time away from establishing the characters we really needed (including Demi)

Man the poisoned apple and true love’s kiss sequence feels…like a waste of time? Like they’re just doing it because they have to. Well-acted and all that but the queen still being alive makes it super clear that this is just a stop on the way to the REAL climax.
