A thought: Even though Farage has said he’s going to stand down as an MP, does it involve paperwork? A letter to the Chancellor? Some form of laborious admin. I’ve just remembered that there was a huge gap between Nadine Dorries saying she was going to resign as an MP and actually doing it.

From what I’ve read, this Farage by election stunt is a complete waste of time. If he wins, the investigation into his undeclared income continues, and given how unprecedented it is, there’s every chance Parliament will give him a long enough suspension to trigger ANOTHER by election.

This might be the first Prime Ministerial resignation I’ve actually been sad about. Keir Starmer lacked the political skills for the role, and his resignation was the right course of action, but on reflection, he’s the best PM we’ve had over the past decade by a country mile.

Gave #SNLUK a go. For me it was on par with the American SNL. Some things work, some don’t. Most of it is passable humour with the odd joke that really stands out. SNL’s magic is the ridiculous ways they satirise politicians and corpse in the process.

Watching Keir Starmer’s press conference. He’s very reluctant to name Trump directly and he’s not giving a concrete answer regarding Trump’s request for help. I know in diplomacy there’s subtlety, but Starmer is in danger of pragmatism to the annoyance of everyone.

Last week, I was furious with Keir Starmer for letting US forces use our bases, even for specific & defensive purposes. I was angry that we HAD to get involved in this conflict because British interests & citizens were under threat.
