This is my constituency. I think their account is run by a barely adult teenager. Absolutely pathetic stuff.

My kid’s primary school are having officially sanctioned water fights today, organised into year groups. All the kids have brought their own water pistols in. I can’t decide if this is a stroke of genius or a recipe for disaster! 😂

Binface on Leading will be epic listening!

Another thought: Imagine Count Binface doing a proper serious campaign. Loads of donations, door knocking, literature, volunteers, a campaign coordinator, a proper election agent etc. Proper serious infrastructure behind an unserious candidate would be just quintessentially British!

I bet you Farage does a U Turn tomorrow because the thought of losing to an actual bin would literally confine his political career to the dustbin.

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 08/07/2026
A thought: Even though Farage has said he’s going to stand down as an MP, does it involve paperwork? A letter to the Chancellor? Some form of laborious admin. I’ve just remembered that there was a huge gap between Nadine Dorries saying she was going to resign as an MP and actually doing it.

If @countbinface.bsky.social wins the Clacton by-election, will he be allowed into the Commons as his alien self? Or will he have to wear a human uniform? I don’t think Erskine May ever considered that!

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 07/07/2026
The best outcome for Farage is to avoid reelection. That would ensure that any Parliamentary scrutiny goes away and his handlers will be happy with the limited exposure.

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 07/07/2026
It will be some other no mark who will cruise to victory because the other major parties refused to engage with it. 4) Regardless of anything else, Zack Polanski grows a pair and stands for election in Clacton. I genuinely think this is less likely than Nigel doing some sort of stitch up.

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 07/07/2026
Binface asking Burnham about the price of croissants at PMQs would be hilarious! 3) Farage calls everyone’s bluff. Once the writ for the by election is served, Reform will leave it til the very last minute to submit their nomination papers BUT Nigel Farage WON’T be the candidate.
100
Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 07/07/2026
2) All political parties refuse to engage with this sham and give a joke candidate like Count Binface a head to head run against Farage to expose it for the farce that it is. It might stain Parliament’s reputation but it has the added bonus of a novelty candidate actually becoming a sitting MP.

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 07/07/2026
Here’s how I think things could play out, from plausible to ridiculous: 1) The Tories might stand a candidate but all progressive/left of centre parties agree to get behind one candidate from a credible party. Drop the tribal nonsense and all come together for a common good to keep Farage out.

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 07/07/2026
From what I’ve read, this Farage by election stunt is a complete waste of time. If he wins, the investigation into his undeclared income continues, and given how unprecedented it is, there’s every chance Parliament will give him a long enough suspension to trigger ANOTHER by election.

That was a truly outstanding performance from England! Very proud to be English this morning. Sleep? What’s sleep? 😂😂😂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

For me, he always seemed to be the most decent, most sensible and most patriotic. He was unpopular, but neither dishonorable like Boris, nor was he completely inept like Liz Truss. Unlike David Cameron, he wasn’t a coward who went to put his trotters up in Nice. Unlike Theresa May, he didn’t

This might be the first Prime Ministerial resignation I’ve actually been sad about. Keir Starmer lacked the political skills for the role, and his resignation was the right course of action, but on reflection, he’s the best PM we’ve had over the past decade by a country mile.

This exchange is both the very best and very worst of us. On one side: A PM, a LOTO & many decent MPs who disagree politically, but are united in dealing with this situation sensitively. On the other: A race baiting grifter who couldn’t give a toss about the grieving parents of a murdered child.

Burnham’s “Manchesterism” that’s both business friendly and supports working class people is more like the “radical centrism” we need from this Government, not more of the same.

Welfare spending cuts, draconian disability reforms, harsh immigration controls that are punitive towards people who want to make a positive contribution to the UK.

The idea that Britain can grow its economy at a much faster rate without loosening the barriers to trade imposed on us by Brexit is for the birds, and he knows it. Labour will (hopefully) retreat to a more soft left position under Andy Burnham, but as of now, they’ve tried to appease the right.

As for his views on Brexit & Immigration, they can get in the bin. Brexit especially. This last decade of low growth, reduced tax receipts, unfilled job vacancies in the NHS & hospitality etc. are a direct impact of Brexit.

You can’t rely on the private sector alone. The state would need to step in to help working class people make the transition to green energy, but this would be short term pain for long term gain.

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 27/05/2026
With infrastructure reform, it could be geared towards Electric vehicles, charging points, green energy, power via heat pumps, more cycle lanes, solar panels on motorways etc etc. The state needs to manipulate the right conditions to allow green energy companies to thrive.

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 27/05/2026
He’s right about the tax burden on businesses & the need for greater infrastructure to boost economic growth but increasing VAT isn’t the answer. It’s regressive & hits the poorest hardest

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 27/05/2026
I don’t see anything radically centrist about condemning people to destitution! Further privatisation of state institutions (or what should be under state control) rarely produces an outcome that is both profitable & high in customer satisfaction.

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 27/05/2026
Would it not be preferable to use green energy sources to reduce the acceleration of damage that fossil fuels do to the planet? If AI becomes so advanced that millions of people lose their jobs, how can he justify reducing welfare budgets?

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 27/05/2026
Tony Blair’s essay is full of contradictions that can easily be dismantled. If he wants to ditch Net Zero, why does China produce so many solar panels and electric vehicles? If AI is the future, it will require a great deal of energy consumption.

Honestly… I feel like I’ve been had off here. Last week I was excited at the prospect of a potential future Prime Minister who genuinely wanted to implement PR, stand up for the North & to rejoin the EU. Today, I have buyer’s remorse.

The State Opening of Parliament and the pomp & circumstance that comes with it is a perpetual sign of how the monarchy is an outdated relic in a modern society. What’s worse is the King will have to read out a legislative programme that could be rendered completely irrelevant by the end of the day

Polanski & Farage are the Horseshoe Theory in action, promising the undeliverable and dividing communities along the way. No one really knows what Keir Starmer stands for. The Tories look like they will just wither and die at this rate. I’m politically homeless and mentally shattered.

Jack Price-Harbach @jackpriceharbach.substack.com · 04/05/2026
That’s down to Ed Davey. His cringe inducing Centrist Dad act is overshadowing the brilliant work our MPs & councillors do, because we keep chasing the middle counties, one nation Tory vote, but not Northern, working class progressives like me. We’re playing it so safe, we don’t cut through.

Everything feels like a binary choice. Liberals don’t do that. We are rational, we see many perspectives, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t be both radical and sensible. It’s my genuine belief that in some parts of the country, especially up North, the Lib Dems are becoming irrelevant nationally.

I feel more comfortable expressing my insecurities on social media than I do face to face. I feel like I want to be a recluse from everyone and everything just so that I can switch my brain off. These are not qualities people look for, even more-so as our politics becomes more polarised than ever.

In the past couple of weeks I’ve had moments where I feel like I’ve been subconsciously pigeonholed, categorised etc. as someone who is disabled. That realisation & living with my limitations in the real world is hard to accept. I’ve also not told anyone that I feel this way until now.
