Some other interesting stories were about how they would discover IRA caches and rather than destroy them they would do shit like, remove one rifle from the cache in order to get the cell accusing one another of stealing.

On one op they were bugging an IRA members home, and the dude actually came home unexpectedly and caught them in the act, leading to a confrontation where the guy I was talking to killed him with a MP5 in his driveway.

Years ago I had lunch with an Irish gent who was telling me about his time in 14th intel co. Apparently it actually started as an early SIGINT program that operated under the cover of a laundry company that would drive around delivering clean clothes while the electronics were packed in the roof.

I read all the BIGS: Greaney, Thor, Taylor, Wood, Hurwitz, Flynn, Bentley, Silva, Coes, etc. All of that being said, I grabbed up this book based on a short reviews I’d read. Damn, I’m glad I did. I blew through this book in just a couple sittings.

The thing about therapy is that it is about getting people off their ass and back to work which is also unfulfilling. People want their lives to be like a story, one that takes on some metaphysical meaning that education or emotional intelligence or whatever is unable to provide.
