I've HAD IT with AI agents. My job used to be kinda pleasant when I talked to real people. I have spent 8 hours this week alone between 2 software apps trying to get customer service help. It takes a human sacrifice to get AI to find you a real person. I'm for AI when it's progressive. This is not.

I get guilt even saying the word! But I feel like politeness is part of how we got here. We have to start public shaming again like we used to and face to face. Just because Trump gets away with it doesn't mean we the guy down the street gets to be publicly racist without consequences.

I'd like to make it Democracy Day. Citizens all ditch work and use the day to get our neighbors out to vote. Drive them, walk in groups with anyone non-white, wear formal wear for no reason. Make participation in Democracy the focus. We run the risk of losing it when we don't participate.

As we get closer to election day, I think we need to really make a spectacle. Maybe we organize a national day off work so that we can all be dedicated to getting people to the polls. We all dress in ridiculous costumes and set up safety groups for voters. Democracy Day dedicated to participation.

Yes! When my son was a teenager, the smell coming out of his room would infuriate me. Poor kid 😅 I did a lot of apologizing to the kids after it was over every month. I took Prozac for awhile for the PMDD. That helped a LOT.

WTH? Omg that's simply insane. During my research I did find that women tend to have a higher pain tolerance than men. This is surely because we have to birth the little humans, but I wonder if doctors know that and it affects how they treat women.

that particular doctor! Maybe I minimize my pain when I'm discussing it with a doctor but I don't think so. I got a list of stretches to do and a referral for the shot in my back, but Chad got PT, xrays, MRI's, pain pills AND a referral for a shot. Wtf? It made me feel shamed for hurting.

After that experience I went down a research rabbit hole and found that it's extremely common for doctors to discount women's pain. This became evident when my husband and I went in for similar issues. We both have bad backs but different diagnoses. Same doctor and everything and I really liked

drunk on a sip or two. In fact sometimes that's how I'd know it was coming. I'd order a drink with dinner and need to call a cab after half a margarita. I always wondered if that happened to anyone else who had problems like I did in there. Have you ever heard of such a thing?

Is your PMS crazy too? I'd make stupid, life changing decisions when I was on my period, like moving. 🤣🤣 I hated anyone with testosterone, I couldn't sleep, I'd have hot flashes, I scared neighbors away sometimes permanently. And another weird thing was if I drank alcohol with PMS, I'd be hammered

Same! I don't remember what all they found in there and wasn't interested in ever thinking about it again afterwards. But every month felt like actual pushing labor and it would go on for days. One time I went to the ER simply because it had been 9 days and I was so exhausted I just couldn't anymore

How relieving! I was shocked at how dismissive one particular female doctor was to me. I told her I'd always had painful periods but never used to end up in the ER over it. She acted like I was overreacting when all she saw was the little cyst. That's when I gave up for awhile.

Maybe when all this is over we can start working on these issues again. I'm so sorry about your medical situation. I'm sitting here remembering the excruciating pain and I know how you feel. I would get suicidal thinking about having to live that way until menopause. Ugh I feel terrible for you!

Worst part is that each new gyno I tried had almost a year wait for the initial appointment. I gave up completely for awhile and just figured that's how I'd have to live. I'd love to see a lot more research dedicated to women's pain. I get slighted about my back too but my husband doesn't.

It took me 6 years to find a Dr. who would do a hysterectomy after numerous ER visits and having to miss work every month. The ultrasounds only showed a small cyst so maybe they thought I was lying? Of course they found numerous problems in there during surgery. I felt hopeless for a long time.
