Followed up going 2-1 in @glhfgames.bsky.social’s Old Border Foil Cube! P1P1 Deranged Hermit sent me down the mono green path and I kinda just stayed there. This deck lacked the nuanced interaction from a second color, but at least executed its plan consistently. Was lucky to only lose one round 🍀

Started out 3-0 with big red sneak attack control in The Mono Red Cube by @glhfgames.bsky.social! I maintain that this is the best strategy in the cube. Without traditional card advantage sources, the use of sweepers, impulse draw, rummaging, lifegain, and unanswerable creatures are crucial.

Finished strong with my first 3-0 of The Old Border Foil Cube! My first 3 picks were fetchlands so I just took the most efficient cards while settling into the green seat. I never have luck with the archetypal decks in this cube so I just played good stuff and got lucky with getting my colors.

Today I drafted Unfinity for the first time with the homies and had to bust out the tape measurer 😂 It plays surprisingly well as a 4 player 20 life free for all, you just have to treat “ask a person outside the game” cards as if they said “another player at the table” Instead.

Matt went 1-2 with a sweet Temur deck looping combo like brew! He would ramp, thin his deck, then use graveyard/deck recursion to reuse all his best threat creating spells! He Prismari Commanded my Thran Dynamo and Guilded Lotus every time they were cast. Thats fair magic baby!

Shariq went 2-1 with Grixis control! ☠️ He answered threats, generated recourses, and ultimately used Mnemonic Betrayal to use his opponents spells against them for the wins! If that didnt work, he could always triple copy his own Time Stretch, or Enter the God-Eternals for massive value!

I went 1-2 with straight Izzet storm! ⛈️ P1P1 Elemental Eruption as the main wincon, with Seize the Storm as a backup. I slang all the spells, floated tons of mana, burned through my deck, but came up short due to a one dimensional gameplan. I think storm is in a fair yet fun place!

Tom went 2-1 with a G/W Token/Populate list that splashed U/R for x2 Epic Experiments! 🐘 His multiple board wipes and interaction kept his opponents in check, while he followed up with stompy tokens and a Growing Ranks to populate the best ones! Ample fixing made the U/R splash a breeze.

Finished strong with a 3-0 deck in Mono Red Cube, but I homiescooped in the trophy match! Although this is an aggro deck, I maintain that Big Red Control is the best deck. The bottom right is my sideboard, in rounds 2&3 I swapped 9ish cards to pivot from aggro to attrition. It worked well! #mtgcube

If you haven’t played against a Quilled Greatwurm yet, the card is absolutely game warping. It demands removal so I would be wary to include it in a cube that doesn’t have premium interaction of some kind. That being said the card appeals to me, so I’m gonna find a home for it and test it out!

Spinner of Souls passes the vanilla test and provides card advantage to creature based decks. It can be ramped into on turn 2 with 1 mana dorks, or slammed down on later turns before you make a risky attack since you don’t mind trading off! This thing is quite solid in most situations

Starting with Searslicer Goblin! It is essentially a 2 mana rabblemaster effect that doesn’t even force the token to attack! This looks sick for red aggressive packages like goblin typal, aristocrats, go wide tokens, or even a generic red deck wins! Has potential for standard/commander play as well
