I've been a Magic player since 1994. please Wizards, PLEASE, do not print Harry Potter cards. this isn't just a UB property some people opt out of. it would be something that gets huge swaths of your customers out of the game PERMANENTLY.

thank you to everyone who cubed with @burlybeard.bsky.social and I at Gen Con. because of you I was able to donate $1000 to @trevorproject.bsky.social. I hope to run this back next year.

seeing the kindness and grace of the Magic community is something that always inspires me. i love stories of how we help each other out in tough times, how we come together to support the marginalized, how we give back what we receive, sometimes more.

good news: landed in Seattle finally after flight was delayed a few hours. bad news: no way home. last light rail already leaving and plane isn't even at the gate. trying to find a plan B that doesn't involve an Uber I can't afford or trying to stay awake for 5h, which I know I can't do...

so grateful I could attend this. broad spectrum of cubes, great vibes. also, Texas has good food...

30 years ago, Barry Reich designed a visionary Magic set that Wizards purchased but never published. Spectral Chaos was a daydream about what a game could be, long before we knew what it would become. 🎥 youtu.be/gco_njeerfE

is the "empower Jace" mechanic making you consider Jace Planeswalkers in cubes you curate? any related changes? if so, what's your environment and what are your thoughts?

at @playersuniongames.bsky.social for the 2pm charity cube draft. swing by if you're close! they're firing another charity cube draft at 6:30 pm as well, though I can't stay for that one sadly. gotta drive back to Seattle to fly to Dallas and draft _more_ cube, lol.

down in PDX. ran a draft of my cube at Guardian Games. Boros EP2 took the 3-0. 2-1s were Bomberman Freeze and Esper Lurrus. thanks again to everyone who came out!

count me in the chorus of, "this card is a design mistake", "this never should have been printed", and, "I hate this".

What's an obscure video game you remember playing at one point that most people would be like "never heard of it"? "What if Mario party was an RPG that took >100 hours to finish a game, had tons of weird secrets, and let you become the devil if you were losing too long?"

i woke up, walked downstairs, and was confused why the house was so silent except the TV. i saw. there was shock. shortly thereafter my phone rang. i was told not to come to work today. i went upstairs to look at my kid, not even two weeks old, and wondered what kind of world they were born into.

hey #cubefam. considering making this change before Dallas Cube Classic. any strong feelings for or against? concerns over logistical issues of prepping the two 8-card packs beforehand? for context, currently draft is 4x13, Lore Seeker pack is 16 cards.

i am honored by the kind words shared. i'm grateful i am afforded opportunities to share my cubes with others at events all over the US. this weekend this cube is part of the main event at @cubecon.org.

the last cube I'm offering in #CubeCon open play is another 2/4 player cube called Eaters of Virtue. sparked by an idea from @tengupnw.bsky.social, each player starts with an Eater of Virtue on the battlefield.

94 Twobert is also available for #cubecon Open Play. it was sparked by discussion on the CubeCon Discord of making a cube of the first 3 sets when you started playing Magic. for me that's Revised, The Dark, and Fallen Empires. it's for 2 or 4 players.

names matter is a cube I'm providing for #cubecon open play. it's my second-most drafted 8-player cube that I curate. as the name implies, it's a cube that cares about card names, in various ways. think Accumulated Knowledge, Ripple, Grandeur, and you're on the right track.

looking for a binder that allows seeing both sides of the card and doesn't have a D ring. 9 pocket preferred, 16 ok, no 4s. links encouraged. I need to be able to see both sides of the card without removing it from the binder. transparent pockets.

why is a 4 day PAX West ticket more than twice the price of a PAX Unplugged 3 day ticket? i could understand being a little bit higher but $264.60 vs $112.34 is crazy.
