I know people hate Universes Beyond but I got a free pack of Hobbit MTG cards today and I love that I pulled a Great Fierce Bee and an Old Fat Spider. Gotta love just cards of slightly mean animals.

If you see this, post a flower

Over the last week I’ve managed to earn over £700 selling my old Pokemon cards without selling any that actually mean to anything to me.

In the back of the collected edition of Harley Quinn in Paradise (which is great and you should read it) there’s a kids magazine style flow chart of suggestions of what to read next based on what you might have liked about that story. Fantastic idea, put it in every collection!

What did you do with your day off? I spent time organised two decade old Pokemon cards by set

Ok, he’s also Mr Miracleman, Mr Swamp Thing and countless others. Alan Moore LOVED to deconstruct Superhero comics.

I got mine second hand from World of Books for £8. Dust cover is a bit dog eared but it’s in great condition other than that. No point buying new, Tolkien isn’t going to see a penny of it haha

A bit pot calling the kettle black from Mr. Watchmen, no?

Literally just bought myself an illustrated edition yesterday.

Might fuck about and sell some of my old Pokemon cards (once I’ve enjoyed buying a new binder, organised them by set and kept the ones that mean something to me.)

Disappointing that Tom King and James Gunn were cool with including those references

Was it ever codified that Nth=Ninth? I thought it was like “to the nth degree” where n is like x in algebra, an unknown variable number, or beyond what we currently have numbers for

Case in point, me. I started at Rookie in SF6 and now I’ve got a couple of characters in Diamond. I’m definitely not the best, but I definitely did most of my learning in game, either in World Tour or Ranked

Plus it’s a super fast, tag based fighter filled with flashy crap all over the screen. Not the easiest to try to parse as a newcomer. The ranked system, onboarding, player base and speed of play in something like Street Fighter 6 is much better for someone who wants to dip their toe into FGs

100

iWillBattle @iwillbattle.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

FighterZ is a tough one to get into because it’s been out so long the pool of new people is getting smaller and smaller. Ranked is normally the BEST way to play FGs because if it’s working right, you get paired with other people also struggling to find openings or string combos together.

Harley Quinn in Paradise is SO good

Not to be a spoilsport but if I were in charge of a Metroid live action film, I’d leave out the morph ball.

This is how I found out they took Shazam out from behind the paywall too! Time to get reading

iWillBattle @iwillbattle.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

How did they handle that response? I feel like concentrating on the Source and the Presence is such wiki-minded engagement with the stories. I’ve never even encountered the presence and know the Source from the Kirby stuff I’ve read.

Do not watch the new Harry Potter. I know most of you realize that already, but there may be a couple "ah, it's just me, what's the harm" folks out there. Unfortunately, I'm sure it'll still get plenty of viewers since they either don't know about JKR or, like the show's adult actors, don't care.

The funny thing is I’ve seen the need for this kind of censorship actively debunked. We’re doing it to ourselves out of hysterical fear of an indifferent algodrithm

I'm buzzing for the return of Onimusha, but after 4 games of using all-American voice casts, the fact the new one is seemingly all Brits is throwing me off. It's not bad, just an odd choice.

My wife and I really lucked out with our charity shop comic finds today.

I’m pretty sure the later films imply green ogre Fiona was the default because her dad was a frog. She was finally happy as her true self because of Shrek, rather than choosing the ogre form.

Describe your music taste with only 4 games.

Crazy Taxi - The Offspring are my favourite band

Wet- sick Rockabilly soundtrack, mediocre game.

Brütal Legend - Metal on metal on metal. Introduced me to a lot of bands

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4. Could have been any on the franchise. It’s got punk, classic rock and smattering of the coolest hip-hop.

Controversial because it’s also a live album but the live versions are better than all the studio cuts : Aerosmith - A Little South of Sanity

My cover for CATWOMAN #93, out in November from @dcoffical.bsky.social. If you can’t already tell, this is maybe my favorite cover I have ever done; to get to portray Selina in the most Chloe way imaginable was a total DREAM, and I am so lucky it was allowed 🥹🥹🥹 @garbagedracula.bsky.social ROCKS!

Disney Parks are reverting so much to when it used to be good. Have they considered doing the same for the prices?
