Venmo (PayPal) sending out emails saying they want to make accounts more secure by you giving them biometric data is just fraud. Illegal, intentional fraud. Nobody, including them, thinks biometric checks are a security feature.

26 COMMITMENT TO FULL PUBLIC SAFETY STAFFING
27 WHEREAS, California cities, including San Francisco, are experiencing increased street-level crime,
28 open-air drug markets, and delayed emergency response times due to inadequate police staffing
29 levels; and
30 WHEREAS, community members — including small business owners, families, and residents — are
31 being impacted by deteriorating public safety conditions, particularly in neighborhoods with high foot
32 traffic and diverse populations; and
33 WHEREAS, a balanced public safety strategy — including fully staffing well-trained police
34 departments, restoring community-based policing models, utilizing community-informed foot patrols
35 in business districts, enforcing existing laws to close open-air drug markets, and expanding access to

I've had the FBI and border patrol show up to my house on Easter to arrest me for tweets. I've had nazi brigades call my employer en mass to try to get me fired. I've been habitually online since 1997. Tiktok banning me for saying Nazis should be killed? I think I'll survive it.

The old "do no evil" company is probably still a bad guy, but i love the no-code implementation at appsheet.com from Google. Was able to build a quick phone app to view/browse my dvd/vhs collection in minutes, which would have taken me hours to do on a webserver.
