What I really can't wrap my head around is how they're justifying a $5k bill. When we spend that much self publishing, it's bc we're paying humans to do an objectively better job than AI could. A fully automated process that produces inferior work should be...cheaper. By a lot.

Had a thought on my drive to work: the Federal civil service could weaponize bureaucracy to stonewall the elon stuff. You actually can't just fire/lay off fed civilians. There's a lot of paperwork involved. Like, tons. It's not like a private company where people are out the moment the boss says so.
