Tonight I saw the 40th anniversary “concert tour” of Labyrinth – the film was screened with a live, six-piece band. The print of the film was open-captioned, which was great, but none of the song lyrics were captioned. I cannot understand what thinking led to that decision.

I just learned that in the original novel, Elle Woods was a member of Delta Gamma. Fun connection: for a couple of years, I was the faculty sponsor of Harvard’s DG chapter. (I was not faculty, but I was an “officer of the university” as a resident tutor, which qualified me.)
