I start the day listening to Anthony Bourdain narrating Kitchen Confidential. I end the day with beans on toast, topped with vegan cheese and leftover Quorn "ham" slices from last week.

It rained today, so my wife asked me to stand up the plant that fell over in the wind so it can get some water. The plant:

Anyway his surgery was 2 years ago today. On the record they said he'd have 3-6 months if we didn't do chemo, off the record the surgeon told me his dog had similarly clean margins and went on another 2.5 years. At first we thought he'd not even make it the first few weeks, but here he is. 2 years!

At first he had some trouble settling on the sofa and his bed. The softness made it hard for him to balance but he worked it out. 3/4

This is the last picture I have of Chappy with 4 legs. That was 3 days before he had to have his front left leg amputated. Probably the hardest time Nat and I had to deal with. Chappy was fine though, dosed up to the eyeballs on painkillers. 1/?

First time we've had more than one fox in the garden for a while now. Playing some SERIOUS bitey face. Soundtrack - my wife making coffee.

Seems like people liked that so here's another angle! The foxes liked tearing at the weed barrier stuck in our rubble pile.

Forgive the state of my kitchen and garden but LOOK. I went to sort out my dog's dinner and was surprised to find 7 foxes frolicking in our garden. SEVEN FOXES.

Honestly hate this song and dance with subscription based services. There's always a lower rate, always a deal.

Missed it yesterday and for once I'm not ashamed of my films

Life over the last few months hasn't exactly gone to plan, but this guy is 7 years old today and that rocks. When we decided to amputate his leg and not get chemo, we were told he'd have 3 - 6 months. It was a shock to us that he made it to his 6th birthday, and here we are a year later!

Finally got my paws on this. Ordered it in January 2021. When it finally came back in stock at the end of 2025, it was sent to my old address as I forgot to check the order. I don't love that I paid for it twice but super glad to finally have it 🤌🏽

Everyone stop and look at how handsome my dog is.

Can't believe he's still here. Second Christmas post-amputation. They'd said without chemo he'd have 3-6 months and here we are over a year and a half later! Merry Christmas to the best boy around. Hope the rest of you have a good time too, I guess.

He lost a leg to bone cancer about 3 months ago and has recovered spectacularly. We have no idea how much more time we have with him, but we love him very much and we're so proud of how well he's adjusted. Yesterday he almost pulled me over when sprinting up the drive.

I will not stop until everyone knows how gorgeous my dog is.
