A person on a bicycle is by far the most energy-efficient among animals and machines per distance traveled relative to body weight. The bicycle is magic. www.jstor.org/stable/24923...

A graph titled "Cost of Transport" showing the relationship between body weight (in kilograms) and energy consumption for distance traveled (calories per gram per kilometer) for various animals and machines. It highlights that a person on a bicycle ranks first in efficiency.

DMs on Bluesky will not be "end-to-end encrypted" until we are able to do some more protocol work. We have very careful access controls within our systems. If you're extremely privacy conscious, I'd recommend using Bluesky DMs to share your Signal accounts!

Who can read DMs?

A diagram shows Alice sending a DM to Bob through Bluesky. Alice and Bob can read the DM. Bluesky can read the DM, but access is carefully controlled, including for moderators. Eve (an outsider) cant read the DMs

+1 for The San Antonio Express News lmao

A screenshot of a tweet from San Antonio’s local newspaper, The Express News (@ExpressNews). The text reads, “Sen. Rafael Edward Cruz, who uses the preferred name Ted, has introduced a bill to limit the use of preferred names and pronouns.” Below the text is a link card featuring a photo of the aforementioned Cancun-loving demagogue, holding a microphone up to his undeniably punchable face.
