What kind of half-assed convoluted illogical gibberish is this? Brown wants Irish unity but opposes Scottish independence. The two are essentially the same. You either support self-determination for all or for no one. It’s daft biased nonsense that really isn’t worth reporting apart from to laugh at

It mystifies me why those who oppose Scottish independence aren't angry about this. NI and Gibraltar voted Remain and got what they voted for. Scotland voted Remain and was ignored. Angry yet? Why not? archive.is/CmQCV
England: voted Brexit, got Brexit.
Wales: voted Brexit, got Brexit.
N. Ireland: voted Remain, got special deal.
Scotland: voted Remain, got shafted.

It's not a great start but it's exactly as expected. Scotland is a resource and nothing more. A place to park useless nuclear subs and to pump energy from, even after pretending all the oil and gas was about to run out a decade ago. Treating Scots like we're fucking stupid, as is customary.

Anas Sarwar quitting ScotLab confirms old suspicions. In the branch office, promotion to head office is the stuff of dreams. Holyrood is always the lesser gig. Joining the world’s 2nd largest unelected chamber is always unproblematic. Rotten legacy for new leader www.thenational.scot/politics/264...

We vote for an indyref but Westminster says no. In May Scots rejected Labour's plans for nuclear & city mayors but we may still have them forced on us. Elections in Scotland are becoming meaningless. The media presents this as a challenge for the SNP but it's really a crisis in Scottish democracy.

No mention of Scotland and only one indirect mention of Wales (Port Talbot) in the PM's speech. If there is to be a "fightback" then actually facing up to the increasing number of constitutional crises across the nations of the UK would be key.

The only question to which Gordon Brown is the correct answer is - "Which lying Prime Minister vowed to Scotland during the indy ref that within 3 years of a No vote the UK would be a federal state and he'd hold the party leaders to it, only to vanish & tell us we should have read the small print?"

lmao, just realised if Scottish Parliament elections used the same fucked up multi ward FPTP system that the English locals did, then the SNP would have won every single seat.
An election map of Scotland from Ballot Box Scotland.

Title: Regional List Vote Results (by Region)

Sub-title: Scottish Parliament Election 2026.

The entire map is coloured SNP yellow. This indicates that in every region, the SNP got more votes than every other party (not combined, just individually).
