These ads go in the same category as brazen, easily disproven lies after ICE killings. It’s not about persuasion. It’s a display of power. They could have passed them off as PAC-funded. They added “paid for by the U.S. government” because they want us to know they can break the law with impunity.

This exec had an administrative assistant who scheduled his calendar for him (in 15 minute increments) and did not even comprehend that being able to see my calendar would not help him, because I didn't block out the time that way, and *most* people do not have someone to manage their calendar.

I bike a couple of times a week. There's a stretch where the road is explicitly labeled as a bikeway and there is paint on the road and everything encouraging bikes to ride in the street (there's no bike lane).

People will build ground-up Rube Goldberg machines to take inputs from three different sources (sales, inventory, facilities) to produce a nice glossy report, which is great. And then the next 3-5 year they will learn what it is like to maintain software, and they are going to fucking hate it.
