Discourse on ‘antisemitism’ in Canada and the US has reached a fever pitch. But, when you dig into the substance of the claims, it becomes clear that what is really being denounced is critique of genocide and antizionism. The CASE report is a paradigmatic example.

ICE has abducted Senegalese WBB player Aminata Seck and won't release her. DHS 'policy' is to provide medical care to prisoners at intake, yet they admit to denying her care for an ACL injury for 1.5 months. The NCAA is letting it happen, despite its predatory recruitment of ICAs. We explain.

ICE has abducted a college athlete. What are the NCAA and universities going to do about it?
Aminata Seck’s detention shows the bargain facing international college athletes: universities eagerly recruit them, but support can disappear when their immigration status becomes precarious.

I would add that perhaps it is exactly what you expect in a "meritocracy". Standards of "merit" are set by white bourgeois men relying on unpaid domestic labour of the women in their lives. Merit in an economically unequal, racist and sexist society is a trap.

Absolute travesty. Academic freedom simply does not exist at Texas Tech University.
After appealing my tenure denial the
Tenure Hearing Panel unanimously found that “the promotion & tenure process was ‘significantly noncompliant with the university’s established standards and procedures’. The President however upheld his original decision to deny me tenure.

This is what Canada and a bunch of Canadian scholars have done for Israel: laundered an ‘antisemitism’ moral panic than in turn launders the genocide itself by reframing who is and is not a victim. Everyone involved is a collaborator.
The findings of the new Canadian government report are deeply alarming. It confirms that antisemitism on Canadian campuses is no longer isolated—it has become systemic, normalized, and institutionally tolerated.

When 96% of Jewish students experience or witness antisemitism, 68% no longer feel safe on campus, and more than half hide their Jewish identity out of fear, this is not a failure of campus climate - it is a failure of leadership.

Universities have a duty to protect Jewish students with the same resolve afforded to every other minority. Silence and inaction only embolden hatred. The time for excuses has long passed

This incredible 3,400-year-old wig is made from locks of human hair! It belonged to an ancient Egyptian woman named Merit. Styled with ringlets and braids, it’s astonishingly well preserved and offers a remarkable glimpse into the hairstyles of her time! Museo Egizio, Turin. 📷 by me #Archaeology
My photo shows a well-preserved ancient Egyptian wig crafted from locks of dark brown human hair. The locks were sewn together and braided. The hair is parted in the middle and curled into ringlets that end with braids on either side of the face and on the back of the neck. Dimensions 30 cm x 45 cm. Dated c. 1425-1353 BC. This type of hairstyle was often decorated with flowers and diadems, which were very fashionable in the mid-18th dynasty, as can be seen in paintings and statues of the period.

The wig belonged to a high-ranking woman called Merit. She was the wife of Kha, the chief of works who supervised the royal tomb construction workers. The intact tomb of Kha and Merit (TT8) was discovered in 1906 by Italian archaeologist Ernesto Schiaparelli in the Theban Necropolis at the royal tomb workers’ village of Deir-el-Medina. The wig is on display at the Museo Egizio (Egyptian Museum) in Turin.
