32 years ago today, we held the launch party for DOOM II at the Limelight in NYC, a former church. Happy birthday to DOOM II, but also, happy birthday to the Super Shotgun, the be-all and end-all of many a monster.

If it works, that's pretty cool; I didn't think
would ever see this implemented (I also didn't
expect LLMs to exist).
However, this is not something you can PR
here, or anywhere. You sent me a nearly 50k
line diff, unasked for, completely LLM built, and
you somehow expect me to review it. There is
SO MUCH unrelated garbage here. Never
minding all of the docs and Python, you've
somehow touched basically all of the upstream
HDL, which already had MSU1 support, so idk
what in the world you're doing.
This kind of behavior is not acceptable. You are
infringing on the time and brainpower of people
by pushing "your" content that little/no of your
brainpower went into; completely unrequested.
I hope for the sake of all responsible
maintainers that you do not do such a thing
again.
Again, I think it's cool that you and your LLM
supposedly got this to work. It has no place in
my world.

You can’t even comprehend how important Eien ni Hen’s work is to the fan translation community. Romancing SaGa, Fire Emblem, Sakura Wars, Tear Ring Saga, Glory of Heracles, Dragon Force II, Dark Half, Beyond Oasis, Psi-O-Blade, Arabian Nights, and so much more. What a loss. Rest in peace.

I was thinking about this recently after replaying FFVI on SNES. The game took 34 hours and was great every step of the way. I enjoyed the FF7 remakes, so far, but they each took like 50 to 100 hours and I will probably never want to replay them

Tokyo Nanpa Street remains a high watermark of 1980s erogē. One might even call it the Wizardry of the genre. Let’s take a look at the pornographic games Enix ultimately left behind and in the process learn what made them so radical: ogrerun.com/2026/09/18/t...

From the outset, erogē became a particular genre rife with visual experimentation.

FFVI took me roughly 34 hours to beat, and that includes all 95% of the sidequests, un-cursing the Paladin shield (256 battles with it equipped), and teaching half my party Ultima even though i've played each part of FF7 Remake, so far...idk, 34 hours seems like enough game length to me
