Little Nemo: Guardians of Slumberland. Very good metroidvania featuring public domain superstar Little Nemo. I am always happy to see the works of Winsor McCay get some love. Another meaty demo. very satisfying to play. 10/10

Vampire Crawlers. My 200 combined hours in vampire survivors and slay the spire already told me that I would love this. 10/10

Petrichor: Charmingly animated pre-rendered JRPG with mario RPG adjacent combat. God is this game so cute. I love Jobert the Bear with my whole heart. every character in this is a visual treat. The games humor is enjoyably silly. 8/10

The Eternal Life of Goldman: The standout for this whole Nextfest, Bar None. Every single frame is animated. foreground, background, the ground. MWAH. It helps that it plays great. best feeling 2d platformer in a while. I hit the standing long jump and got chills. I really like the on the fly cane customization too. The world is surprisingly hellish. some of the creatures would not be out of place in Berserk. SO looking forward to this. 10/10
