AI doesn't understand smoking AT ALL

This one's doing my head in. Each individual part makes sense, but all together is Wrong.

A pic of a sunroom or conservatory room for a real estate listing. There's lots of intersecting lines going in all directions - roof, wall and floor. Along one wall is a very bright angled rectangle of sunlight coming through gaps in a blind. The floor appears to tilt down towards the house wall. The lines and light and shadows make the picture confusing to me.

Look what I found for the garden!

New cookbook! With a recipe specially for @hpsvanessa.bsky.social which is a whole lot less effort than the last one.

The cover for a cookbook titled "Use it all - the Cornersmith guide to a more sustainable kitchen" by Alex Elliott-Howery and Jaimee Edwards. It has pictures of foods which are often wasted, such as leafy greens, celery leaves, citrus rinds, pineapple skin, and carrot tops.

Pineapple skin syrup.
There is so much flavour in pineapple skin that it would be a crime to throw it away. Make this syrup and add pineapple flavour wherever you drizzle it. At Cornersmith we drizzle it over our whole pineapple cake (page 82), fruit salads and ice cream, and use it in marinades, salad dressings and cocktails.
Place washed and roughly chopped pineapple skin (along with the core if you haven't eaten it) in a saucepan with 2 cups water (500ml), 1 cup caster sugar (220g), 1 star anise, 4 allspice berries, 2 cloves and 1/4 teaspoon black peppercorns. Set over low heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, then strain. If you want a thicker syrup, place it back on the heat and reduce further. Pour the syrup into a clean jar or bottle and store in the fridge for up to 1 month.
Makes about 350ml (12 fl oz)

While looking for cucumber ideas, I came across this recipe in the CWA cookbook. Pineapple honey, AND it uses the waste bits of the pineapple. \o/

ingredients: peelings and core of a pineapple, water, and sugar
method: Put peelings and cores in a saucepan and use enough water to cover them. Boil for about 20 minutes.
When soft, strain the juice and add 1 cup sugar to each cup of liquid. Boil again until the mixture is the thickness and colour of golden honey. But take care, as it passes the ideal stage very quickly. Test when a pale colour.

Mr Willoughby is 5; he showed up 4 years ago and adopted me. Petra is almost 1; her human mother sent her to a shelter when she was 4 weeks old, and she has been with me since she was 10 weeks. How it started, and how it's going. Happy #Caturday 🖤🧡🤍🖤

This spring I learned about allelopathy, and the beloved tallow trees had to go. But look! Crabapples! Which are crabappling their little hearts out, and will bring in so many birds and bugs.

Xibai spent most of #Caturday at the vet having her injured eye inspected. She's happy to be home. (And the vet ringbarked her, which may foil her plan to evolve into a mountain lion?)

New dishwasher! It only came in black, I don't like it either, whatevs it can be leopard print if it wants. It wants an internet connection, lol. It projects the remaining cycle time on the floor!

I admired @kelskels06.bsky.social 's Oxford comma shirt, so she sent me one! Plus many fun Nebraska things, including a tiny buffalo whose bunt was immediately patted. Kelsey is an absolute rock star at loot boxes. Look!

Nebraska swag laid out on a fabric surface: two navy t-shirts (one Oxford comma, one "ski Nebraska" with a pic of a man skiing in a corn field), a box of parmesan garlic pretzels, a pouch of coffee, two stickers (one corn, one says "equality before the law", and a tote bag printed with line drawings of things one finds in Nebraska and the words "this is my Nebraska tote". GO NEBRASKA!

And literally the toy surprise: a tiny buffalo standing guard over all he surveys! Plus another sticker, which says "become toxic to those who would devour you" with a picture of a toad/frog.
