For the record I'd like to say I really hate what Microsoft has done to destroy technet and communities and whatever forums existed. It is somehow impossible to find or navigate anymore Or maybe I'm just old and the "new way" of doing things works better in ways I just can't comprehend

Is it all just under "Microsoft intune" now?

Hi all, Did I miss the announcement that #configmgr #memcm no longer exists? I can't find the product page or see it listed in communities anywhere. Or has it got another new name?

Seeing the posts from @sccmcriticalcare.bsky.social in the hashtag feed reminded me why I spent so much time trying to convince people to stop calling #configmgr sccm

Help! In ConfigMgr admin service. I've bound an internal pki cert to using netsh. it works for about 5min before SMS_REST_PROVIDER log shows it being deleted and SMS issuing cert is rebound. The PKI cert is deleted from the server and has to be reissued! Any suggestion why? #configmgr #memcm

Hey all, been a minute since I was active here. First thing is the feed for #configmgr #memcm is being migrated. Not sure if that will be disruptive or not, but we'll see

Looks like Microsoft has scrapped the Microsoft Action Pack and replaced it with way less stuff, or way more stuff but for way more money. Has anyone realised yet how much we are all going to get screwed by moving everything to the cloud?

it blows my mind that you rely on your employer and their related employment of you for your health insurance

yeah, it is kind of "well, *technically* we probably could, but we try to be in the business of not pissing people off any more than absolutely necessary"

I kept my accounts because I don't want someone else grabbing them and impersonating (not that it's a huge concern) I'm not after a following either, but my motivation is more because it was getting harder to find content from people among the noise and bots

I'm slowly getting back into online presence with bsky, it's started to pick up a lot. I look at twitter once a week now if that.

we use dhcp groupid with MCC/Doinc at the moment so I assume same would apply here

Scott Williams @ip1.au · 10/12/2024
we use dhcp group id at the moment for MCC/DOINC through configmgr, so I'm assuming it will be the same in that case

Scott Williams @ip1.au · 09/12/2024
haha thanks. I noticed something wrong yesterday but ignored it coz it usually sorts itself out by the next day, but it's still broken this morning so I needed to check it out, then saw your post I'd like to know what "don't need to do anything" means though. Assuming I'd have to trigger sync again
000
Scott Williams @ip1.au · 09/12/2024
Did you need to configure the DHCP options for the group ID?

Scott Williams @ip1.au · 09/12/2024
At one point I recall David saying they were looking at a "native" WSUS sync replacement in CM as well like they did with WDS to remove that external dependency. I'm guessing that isn't a thing now though
