Two artworks in one day? The harvest is bountiful this season. Left: the star Vega, not attempted true color (I just used an off-the-shelf blackbody calculator for the color and eyeballed how much darker the equator would be) Right: Granules and starspots greatly exaggerated to be visible.
A digital drawing of the fast-spinning A-type star Vega (Alpha Lyrae). Limb and equatorial darkening are not indicative of reality. Color only approximate.A digital drawing of Vega again, but with surface features (starspots and granules) greatly exaggerated. [Gift Art] Hanabi's space exploration! Featuring @nemezsf2004.bsky.social's android character, Hanabi Uzaki (I like his characters and wanted to draw her). I'm way less experienced at drawing humanoid bodies than I am at drawing planets and it shows :P
A digital illustration depicting the character Hanabi Uzaki, and android character by NemesisZSF2004, exploring space just above Titan's atmosphere. Saturn is in the background, in the bottom left corner of the image. The rings are barely visible on account of being nearly edge-on from the camera's perspective, but the shadow of the rings on the northern hemisphere and the ringshine on the southern hemisphere are clearly visible. Saturn is oriented such that north is up and to the left, and it is illuminated from below, in waning gibbous phase. Other moons are visible in the background and appear as dim points of light, only a few pixels across.

Hanabi, the yellow-haired android, is flying around, the exhaust plumes from her thrusters forming a trail in the background. She is upside-down from the camera's perspective.

An image depicting the young planet Theia, a planet about 40% the mass of Earth proposed by the giant impact hypothesis. It is blue-gray in color as a result of extensive cloud cover all over its surface, and spins somewhat fast, covering its surface in storms. The planet is seen from the side, with north to the right of the image and south to the left. It is illuminated from above, forming a crescent. A large text label reading "THEIA" is positioned above the planet.

Tau Cave Moon #art #sketch #FractalBlockWorld
A sketch of the Outer Space location from Fractal Block World. A Tau Cave Moon (orange moon with grass and clouds) is orbiting a clay planet (red planet made of bricks), which also has an ice moon (small blue-gray moon) and an alpha moon (small gray moon) orbiting it. An immoral goon can be seen behind the tau cave moon. The clay planet is orbiting a sun along with other planets, and other stars are visible in the background.

Eve, no atmosphere, fog, or clouds version. Deep red polar seas of liquid sulfur are surrounded by areas where the wind carries sulfur vapors where they deposit on the nearby land. For full(er) explanation on my Eve redesign, see atmosphere version and subsequent posts. Needless to say, be warned.
An image depicting Eve, a planet from the game Kerbal Space Program. The surface is mostly covered in dull brown rocks, with large mountain ranges snaking around its surface. Near the poles are basins in which deep red liquid sulfur collects, surrounded by yellow deposited solid sulfur. The planet is illuminated from the left, in waning gibbous phase.

Eve. This one requires a lot of explanation, so a whole bunch of posts incoming, watch out. For the other KSP planets I redesigned thus far as part of this project (The Mun, Duna, Moho) I could just make them look like their real counterparts. But I wanted to avoid removing characteristic features.
A redesign of the planet Eve from Kerbal Space Program. The planet is very cloudy and almost completely white as a result, but tinted with a hint of purple from colored gasses in its atmosphere, specifically disulfur (S₂). The planet is illuminated from the left, in waning gibbous phase. My signature is in the lower right.

Precisely this. I like space exploration in stories only but I'm actually strongly against manned space exploration and colonization in practice. We don't need to leave Earth for a good future, and having kids on a space habitat will mean forcing them to live dependent on whoever's maintaining it.

My toxic trait is assuming a "redox habitable zone" like that even exists at all and ignoring the fact that the S2 would probably just oxidize away sooner than the organic haze 😔 I'm actually just carrying blind dumb hope on this one
010
Inverse 5040 @inverse5040.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
I'll just handwave and say that Eve's likely CO2 dominated atmosphere would not be too oxidizing for disulfur. Note: one might not normally think of CO2 as oxidizing since it's used to put out fires, but it can't coexist with methane without biotic sources of both and also becomes acidic in water.
010
Inverse 5040 @inverse5040.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Again, already stretching it a lot and that's ignoring the fact that sulfur burns/oxidizes to form various oxides. The atmosphere can't be too oxidizing or all the less stable S2 would just oxidize. But it also can't be too reducing or else the purple will be overpowered by orange organic haze.

Inverse 5040 @inverse5040.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
So what I've got here is the liquid sulfur oceans produce S2 and S8 vapor, the S2 rises above the clouds and tints the upper atmosphere a slight purple while the heavier, yellow S8 stays below them. This would make Eve look purple from space but have a sort of yellow fog close to the oceans I think.
010
Inverse 5040 @inverse5040.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
That doesn't mean it's a very good candidate though, even Venus is too cold for disulfur to become stable. I imagine very small amounts would form above Eve's oceans (if they were liquid like in KSP2) and they'd rise higher than vapors of S8 due to lower molar mass but that's stretching it already
010
Inverse 5040 @inverse5040.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Disulfur (S₂) is an allotrope of sulfur that is a gas. It's unstable at standard conditions, but it becomes stable at high temperatures and low pressures. It is IMO the best candidate for a purple dye for Eve, since others like iodine are too reactive and would just get trapped up to form salts.
010
Inverse 5040 @inverse5040.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Minmus was harder since I couldn't keep its blue green color realistically and had to sacrifice it, but at least I found a way to keep its flats. Eve was an awful one though, out of all the KSP planets I'd say it's the least similar to its real-world analog. I had to find a way to keep the purple.

Orbital Mirror Array is captioned with "(equipped with retrorockets for de-orbiting once operation is completed)". The building is captioned with "Techbro 'Inventor''s Lavish Mansion". Mirrors are angled so as to reflect and focus sunlight onto the building. The building is on fire.

Something that scares me every time I remember it is that the planets don't travel around the sun in a planned, orderly dance. They have as much control over where they go as a thrown brick, or a boulder tumbling down a hillside. They are on completely ballistic trajectories guided purely by physics
