I have a 1957 Delta brochure from my grandma which provides a short bio of the chef de cuisine for the airline.

Pete Hegseth has killed far, far more humans than the murderous Major Nidal Hasan. And there's no Jesus-based justification for America killing prisoners & filming it. Congrats, MAGA - Trump made America more like ISIS. Pls read, subscribe & share: johnfugelsang.substack.com/p/americas-f...

So I'll bet my entire year's paycheck that livestreaming Hasan's execution will not include audio of his last words, or of anything said before the firing.

We don't get this in central California. Hail, maybe once every 5 years and & nothing like this. Sacramento valley weather isn't ever bad, but we will indeed flood. And those floods are destructive...

WHAT a life!! Margaret Hamilton, who lead the 100-person team that wrote the onboard software for the Apollo missions, guiding Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to a safe landing on the moon, died Sept. 30 in Cambridge, Mass. She was 90. Her death, in a hospital, was confirmed by her daughter, Lauren.

If it wasn't for tax, we would have already eliminated all cents on all transactions. Nothing we buy today costs less than a dollar. Nothing. But we sell something for a buck and we have to assess a 8.54 cent tax on it, or 4.56, or 2.78, so the government keeps on keeping on with nickels & dimes.

Is most of Arizona going to still remain on standard time, or will this law force them to switch an hour permanently?

I agree! One justice! Funny how we never choose to discuss lowering the number of justices but it's just as unreasonable to raise the number as it is to lower it. If we only had three to begin with, Trump would have only been able to appoint one, so it's perfectly reasonable to lower them.

Likely. But I really doubt democrats will take the senate, so they both hsve two years to decide to retire, and they absolutely will in that 24 month time frame, to preserve their legacies.
000
Insania @insaniabd.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Hehe, I see your point here, I guess I was more considering his prospects of retirement after 2027 as he stated, not in the narrow lame duck.
000
Insania @insaniabd.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
Not a chance imo. Alito will only retire if Republicans keep the senate, to ensure Trump gets to nominate his replacement. If dems get senate, they'll pull a McConnell and never *EVER* consent until and unless there's a dem president. Alito will stay on until death if there's a dem Senate.

Nah, I say reduce the court instead. No one ever mentions this, but instead of nine, just make it one. Just one. There's no limit or floor other than one, and it would be a perfect play on today's SCOTUS unitary executive theory, creating a unitary SCOTUS theory out of thin air.

Insania @insaniabd.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
If the senate flips, neither Alito or Thomas will retire until a Republican senate is later sworn in, up to and including incapacitation or death. Both *must* consider and will certainly retire in the next two years if senate stays red, to *ensure* Trump gets to pick their replacements.

This is the K shape. I'm [almost assuredly] invested in Exxon & BP stock via my 401k, & so as a consequence my economic gains likely far outweigh my incremental costs for the gas & diesel-fueled products I buy. Whilst the gardener driving from lawn to lawn who holds no stocks gets fucked further.

Iranian rockets intending to deploy mines in the straight. Just one needs to get through to create a threat. Imagine if these rockets are the same fucking things as scatter mine drops. Three or four ship mines scattered by one rocket, like our own MIRVs.

Nah, it should be reduced to one. Just one justice. Still appointed for life, too. One to match the same power of a unitary president. Imagine just how much faster court decisions would take, no dissenting opinions to write (as if this opinion matters anyway).

Levin didn't spend but eight fucking minutes over two hours this weekend talking about Iran. And specifically, regime change. His guest said over 2/3rds of Iranians oppose their regime. Know what? SO DOES OURS.

Instead if adding more jurists to the Supreme Court, I say we just allow one. Just One. Lifetime appointment. We let the other eight die off or resign. Give Supreme Power to one fucking person, same as Republicans already want today in their president.

I never care what the price of salads are, but I'm now able to eat my entire daily dose of raw vegetables in one bag at now a lower price due to lack of demand with a near zero risk of the shits.

Levin tonight -- arguing the big beautiful bill lowered my taxes. Yes, it did. But all it did, in high income and taxed states, is revert it back to the same fucking levels we had before his tax increases in blue states in his 1st term. So I now wait 5 years to recoup what I overpaid.

I love Blueskyers saying "I get all mine from the farmer's market!" As if those farms are *completely* removed from contaminated water, or workers shitting in the field so not have to walk a 1/4 mile round trip to the portable latrine. People are People regardless.

Always one of *my* 3 daily meals. These bags just make it a whole hell of a lot more convenient. But, sure, if they're full of human shit it's an issue, but then...so would it be buying heads of cabbage & lettuce & jalapeños & scallions similarly contaminated.

I apply half the dressing and half of those damn crumbles, but the entire spice pack. Pretty happy that we've finally got packed salads as full meals, because a salad is always one of 3 daily meals. It's imperative to get raw vegetables daily, *very* few US citizens do this.

It is a *certainty* that Little Marco resigns as whatever position(s) he currently holds right soon after the midterms. He runs for president, distancing himself from Trump, same as every Repub did in 2008 w/ Bush, leaving JD stuck defending Trump as he can't resign as VP.

Did Latinas vote *more* for Trump in 2024 than in 2020 or 2016? No. Claim it's a trope all you prefer. I heard it directly from dozens of Latinas in several states prior to the election. They would not support a black woman regarding economic decisions over a white guy.

I always sit on the toilet facing the tank. No one else does this, apparently, but I can put my elbows on the tank lid and remain ergonomically correct holding my phone at eye level, reducing strain on my neck and allowing a more relaxing release.

You're not saying acceleration or deceleration is the problem, it's just the...speeding. Well, tell me then, what's the risk I pose to the rest of humanity if I get to the 45 speed limit in 4 seconds rather than 9? I can decelerate *MUCH* faster than that, agree?
000
Insania @insaniabd.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
But passing the stale green light because I reached the speed limit before you is just as satisfying, watching you brake at the light I made in my rear view mirror. I'm a proponent of getting to the limit as fast as possible. It absolutely gets me to my destination faster w/ zero additional risk.
200
Insania @insaniabd.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
/2 to reach the rated speed limit and as such, I clearly beat the next yellow light far more often as a consequence. If jackrabbit starts were the safety issue, you would have stated that. They're not. It's, however, a valid argument as to the fuel economy of doing so!
000
Insania @insaniabd.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
And...so what if I accelerate from 0 to the 45 speed limit in 6 seconds rather than 11? Is acceleration or deceleration the safety issue? No, you're claiming it's the speed itself, which on an F=ma basis you're entirely correct, but it's not the acceleration. I blast out as fast as possible /1
100
Insania @insaniabd.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
You argue the next red light. Ok, fair...but you're discounting beating the next stale green light. Experience tells me that you will, on average, beat out more stale greens than waiting at reds by going faster.
100
Insania @insaniabd.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
The upside is that we have fun. Love accelerating quick, love to get to the speed limit as fast as humanly possible, because you have a *much* better chance at getting past that next stale green light if you do. I drove for years w/ obedience, only to see faster cars beat out the fucking lights.
