Especially since they already have a great subtle transition from present day to the past with the transforming pirate at the end of the caves. Now we repeat that beat, but way more in-your-face. Feels like the attraction equivalent of Netflix’s over-explaining because people are on their phones.

I’ll wait to see how it looks in person tomorrow before passing judgement. I always thought a cool addition to the caves would be a wooden mermaid figurehead near the shipwreck that changes to a skeleton with the lightning flash. Could be scrim-based or blacklight paint. ktla.com/news/pirates...
