I don't know why it irks me so much so and maybe I'm just a grumpy old woman. But it always rubs me the wrong way, even if it's just jokingly acting like the cat is the injured party in those situations.

Seeing some posts about that library cat in TX. And unpopular librarian opinion, but I don't think libraries should have cats. There are a lot of reasons why a cat would make it difficult for people to come in and use the library. It makes me tired to see people bemoaning the cat being booted.

Apparently one potential side effect of my adhd meds is exacerbated suicidal ideation. In unrelated news, I have stopped taking my adhd meds. Fingers crossed that my appointment goes well next week and I can find some new meds. Whomp whomp.

Not odd exactly, but I was a figure drawing model in college and people always seem shocked about that. I suppose the fact that it involved me having done "I'm a little teapot" naked at one point may contribute to that 🤣 Best job I ever had though.

I dealt with something similar with the death of my uncle, then grandmother, then mother. And you are absolutely correct. I frequently tell anyone who will listen to get there stuff in order. It is morbid, but so incredibly necessary. My condolences to you for your losses.

This series is delightful! It's one of my go to recommendations to patrons who enjoy sci fi or mystery. Delightful characters, a fun spaceship setting, an all around good time. Highly recommend picking them up.

Private mortgage insurance. It's required insurance when you make a down payment of less than 20%. It protects the bank if we default on our mortgage. For us, it's been about $80 a month until we hit the 20% paid off mark.

As soon as our September mortgage payment clears, we will hit the threshold for requesting cancelation of PMI. Please keep your fingers crossed that they just do it and don't pull any bullshit asking us to get a new valuation to prove it hasn't decreased in value. I need a win.

For movie night last night my friend and I finally watched the last two Mission Impossible movies. Y'all, I am so mad. The best part of Final Reckoning was when we had a commercial break but the editing had been so crap it took me 15 seconds to realize it was a Geico commercial.

I think it's real dumb that if you lose your job and qualify for unemployment, you stop being qualified if you enroll in school to get certification. Like, he is doing the school to have a better chance of finding a job. School is expensive. Anyways, I'm grumpy and depressed and hate everything.

So I used to have a prayer plant, but, like many of my houseplants, it tragically perished through my bad plant mom skills. Eventually a friend gives me a snake plant cutting. It grows and gets big enough to need a pot. I home in the prayer plant pot. Somehow, the prayer plant returned 🤣
