As a fan of French pop and someone who grew up in Birmingham, I can't believe I have missed the work of Jams Birmingham until now...

It's not their best, or most popular album but Orbus Terrarum has been my go-to soundtrack for getting work done for 30 years! From Uni assignments in the 90s to meeting deadlines for work reports today it gets me in the zone. #nowplaying

#5debutalbums1519 Clairo - Immunity (2019) I'm sure if I thought about it for longer I'd come up with better albums, but this was the one of my highlight discoveries of that COVID year. Prefer this album to some of her more critically acclaimed follow ups.

Love those notifications about artists you 'follow' on TIDAL when a random act with the same name gets lumped in with them. I'm guessing this isn't the same Habibi as the Brooklyn indie 5-piece I'd prefer to hear about?

I've been spending time getting to know this lady recently. An unknown face in a photo collection has sent me on an investigative journey around 1890s / 1900s Halifax. I'll be writing about her story among others in a new series called 'Accidental Ancestors'. #genealogy #familyhistory #IWD2026

No, we don't need a photo of the artist on this German CD reissue of her debut album. Let's just 'describe' the original cover into ChatGPT Is this the future of album reissues?
