Several of the most stand apart songs I have had on repeat in the last few years are such a conglomeration of noise I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CATEGORIZE THEM. I don't think pattern recognition could have produced them. I don't know how they make auditory sense, except that a human did that.

The only way I can think to put this is: I don't want music personalized TO ME. I want music personal TO OTHER PEOPLE. Music I never even thought to like. Sounds I didn't even think to want. And I don't think the regurgitation machine can give me that.

Unfortunately there's this idea some guys have that 'bad apples' present them an opportunity to prove themselves 'heroic.' They have a fantasy that when they see a woman under distress by another man, they would intervene. When the truth is that the very idea they WOULD intervene IS THE FANTASY.
