"Prima Ballerina" is a rose cultivar created in 1957 by the German breeder Mathias Tantau. It originated from a cross between an undisclosed seedling and "Madame Meilland."
It is a large-flowered rose (hybrid tea) featuring highly fragrant, deep pink, double blooms (16 to 25 petals) that appear either singly or in clusters of three.
It blooms throughout the season and produces red rose hips in the autumn.
With its glossy foliage and thorny stems, the shrub reaches a height of 90 to 130 cm and a width of approximately 60 cm.
This rose is hardy and highly disease-resistant—ideal for the Quebec climate. A true floral marvel!

« Prima Ballerina » est un cultivar de rosier créé en 1957 par l'obtenteur allemand Mathias Tantau. Il est issu d'un croisement entre un semis non divulgué et « Madame Meilland ».
C'est un rosier à grandes fleurs (hybride de thé) aux fleurs doubles d'un rose soutenu et très parfumées (comptant de 16 à 25 pétales), qui apparaissent soit en solitaire, soit en bouquets de trois.
Il fleurit tout au long de la saison et produit des cynorhodons rouges en automne.
Doté d'un feuillage brillant et de tiges épineuses, l'arbuste atteint une hauteur de 90 à 130 cm et une largeur d'environ 60 cm.
Ce rosier est rustique et très résistant aux maladies, ce qui le rend idéal pour le climat du Québec. Une véritable merveille florale !
