That's curious how much compositors' mistakes come into focus, and interest the book collectors and researches today! This was also a topic of a few talks at the York Wayzgoose, where university people from various countries spoke about typesetting by hand as a learning method for humanity students

What do you do with the chains when reading a chained book?, I hear you ask. As of today, we'll put them into these little calico bags made by the broderers! Inspired by a conservator who told us she put it in a sock while working on one of our books.

For those lucky people who'll collect the apples: 1 glass of sugar + 3 eggs, 1 glass of flour and a bit of baking soda; 3-4 apples. Cinnamon, if you like. Butter the baking tin, bake at 180°C for 50-60 min. Enjoy :)

Lovely annual visit to Hereford Cathedral & its stunning library. Great exhibition inspired by the 550th Caxton anniversary, including an incunable (printed in 1473) given to the cathedral in 1478.

At a brief 5 minutes meeting the 6th Form teacher asked what I did to raise such a good student... Certainly I wasn't ready to give an answer in this genre 😆 but it made me think... At least, we didn't kill the curiousity, and gave some independence. Other efforts are a bit more questionable 😆

Oh. You can imagine my feelings when I visited The Hague this summer and discovered I didn't recognise so many things there... I studied there some 20 years ago too.

Oh, wonderful!! you know the city better than I do then!

We had a tip from a friend — say you're going to canteen if they ask 😊 It depends on each college's rules, some are open, others sells tickets, and also there are some for uni people only

It's just there! 😊 all the time 😊 but actually we sneaked into a college pretending we're postgraduates

It was a nice Friday outing, which happens once a year 😊 but might/should become a tradition! #Cambridge #uk

This ragged red kite passed over yesterday. The frayed trailing edge feathers and ? the shape of head make me think it is an old bird, but still soaring with the youngsters.
