Today I found my first seabean. This seed has travelled a long way to reach #Shetland. Starting it's journey in a tropical forest, travelling with ocean currents and washing up with our first autumn storms. A little piece of luck and joy to hold onto as daylight fades and winter approaches.

In some ways it feels incongruous to share a cover when Dolly Parton was such an incredible songwriter but her decision to sing this song says so much about who she was and what she stood for. youtu.be/CEPUxpR64YE?...

The Dore Holm sea stack is often compared to a horse bending to drink from the sea. Here is a Shetland pony demonstrating the accuracy of this description #Shetland

Recently the island of Mousa became home to Shetland ponies once again again. It is a joy to see the next generation of these beautiful horses standing by the iconic Mousa broch #Shetland

At this time of year #Shetland ponies lose their protective winter fluff. Nothing more joyful than helping with the process ❤️
