here ya go #monkeywrench #mwshrike #wizard-laundryart

This is a digital illustration of Shrike Sanchez from the animated web series Monkey Wrench. He is wearing a basic red bodysuit complete with gray (presumably metal) accents on his shoulders, neck, and wrists. He looks tired and a bit forlorn, with his head facing the left-hand side of the screen, eyes half lidded, and brow-ridge in a slightly “one brow raised” stance. His arms are crossed, his left hand grasping his right bicep. The background is blue and black, and a blue highlight lines part of his silhouette.

I actually think it's revolting that people can hurl insults and Viv and her crew day in and day out, make assumptions about the character of complete strangers over a fucking cartoon, but as soon as she defends herself and her team she's "being emotional

We legit have a gen of young adults who are just as propagandized/steeped in purity culture as their boomer evangelical parents/grandparents. Sadly this leads to lashing out at others who ARE comfortable w sexuality under the guise of “progressive” morality. Wrote a chap in my MA thesis about it!

“This feels very sexualized :/“ Why yes. Because it is. This merchandise is sexual. It’s the sexy collection. This show has a lot of sexual content in it. “This caters to the male gaze 😡” The merch team, the leads, and the shows creator are almost all queer fems. Literally. We like sexy.

oh i disagree - there's something VERY progressive about Hazbin Hotel's mere existence. it's a queer indie project that started as an edgy high school OC mash, and it *stayed* emo and flamboyant when it rose to the corporate level.

One indie animation project I'm excited to see is the "Lumi and the Great Big Galaxy" pilot by @starteas.bsky.social. A story about a group of alien friends helping a little star find their way home. Even if it's going to be an animatic, I can't wait to see it when it comes out on March 20th.
